DAY 2
Our first full day in France and I wanted to go to Versailles and see the Palace. And so we set the alarms, got up at the crack of dawn and took the hour and a half journey there. My parents and sister had no idea of what this Palace was and why it had such an attraction and so they were completely taken aback by the whole grandeur of the place. At the end of the day they were glad I chose to go there and were completely in awe of the place, we all were.
I walked around the ballroom completely amazed. I had watched the film read the book, googled her endlessly and now I was finally in the world of Marie Antoinette. I pretended I was her first arriving from Austria to view my new home, thinking what it was like for her.
