Prada...

Many of the 2014 Spring Summer collections seemed some what predictable. Florals, sheers and splashes of colour here and there. It seemed many of the designers were creating the clothes to fit in with the predicated trends...Fashion shows are not like they once were. The artistic presentation and theatrical performance of the show is no more, because in the industry at the end of the day the clothes have to sell. Personally, I found many of the different designers produced very similar pieces to each other, in terms of colour, cut etc.
However Miuccia Prada surprised us all and created. A beautiful collection of artwork was presented to us that was different from anything we had ever seen before. A show we will never forget.

However there were some pieces in the Prada show that I was not a fan of. The above garment celebrated underwear as outerwear in the cut of the garment. This created a sporty look which fits in with the trends of 2014. However I personally did not like this look because I felt that the garment was unflattering to the body and id not embrace the concept femininity that the brand stands for in a successful way. However I found the rest of the show extremely power and I respect the artist for creating something that was completely different from anything else on the runway that season.

 I want these shoes!
